Sunday River is back in the mountain biking game. The Newry, Maine ski area is making year-round use of its new $7.2 million Chondola lift and is using it to whisk mountain bikers to North Peak. Bikers will be in the six-person chair lifts.

Most of the lift-serviced terrain is for advanced downhillers but there is some easier stuff as well.

The park opens June 26 and will be operational Fridays through Sundays.
